Michelle & Christopher, Ingestre Hall, Staffordshire
When you get engaged and you start to plan your wedding you can't fail to have your mind blown by all the options available to you. As someone who's getting married myself next year I have first hand experience of this.
There are numerous blogs, magazines, Facebook pages and then of course, Pinterest. Oh yes, Pinterest, where time disappears like no other place known to humankind. It's difficult not to get overwhelmed by it all, and feel the pressure of living up to someone else's wedding that you've seen.
But, there are people who do things differently, who don't worry too much about what the latest trends are, or how many Mason jars they can collect. Michelle and Christopher are just those sort of people and that's what we like at The Retreat.
They didn't have a first dance, they had a game of mini golf, in fact they didn't even have any dancing at all. They had board games, table football and that lost art of conversation.
No one complained that they didn't have a band, no one was bored, and it was one of the best weddings you're ever likely to see.
