Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I find your prices?
If you like what you have seen on my website so far and you'd like to know the price of my packages then please head over to the Contact page, fill out all the details and I will reply within 24 hours with a link where you can download my brochure. Prices start at £1000 for full day coverage because I believe everyone should have access to great photos on their wedding day.
Do you offer albums?
Do I ever! I use beautiful English made, leather bound Folio Albums. Go and have a look at their website and watch the video about how they make their albums. They sure do put a lot of love into them.
It says you're based in Devon and Somerset but do you go further afield?
I certainly do. I love to travel to new places and my weddings have taken me to Edinburgh, Durham, Norfolk and Dorset. We can chat about travel expenses when we get to that stage, but they won't be very expensive.
Do we get to meet up before we book you?
Yes I would love to. I always make a point of either meeting couples in person or on Skype if a personal meeting isn't possible. It helps us to get a feel for each other (cheeky) and find out if we'll get on during your wedding day which is super important. I can either come to your house or we'll meet at a nice pub or coffee shop.
I don't see many family group shots on your website, do you do those?
Yes I do, they're really important to your family members. I like to get through them as quickly as possible and recommend that you limit them to immediate family only so it gives you plenty of time to spend with your guests.
We're not what you would call, 'the posing type,' does that matter?
I don't think any of the brides and grooms who I have photographed would ever refer to themselves as the posing type and it doesn't matter at all. After your wedding you'll be so happy that you'll barely even notice me taking pictures of you. I'll just ask you to stand in front of some interesting backgrounds and it should all flow naturally from there. Of course if you've already had an engagement shoot with me then you'll be an old hand at this sort of thing and we'll have lots of laughs together. I'm as laid back as they come so there'll be no shouting and stress from me.
How many images do we get?
Usually you get around 400 edited digital images send to you on a USB hard drive in a lovely presentation box
How many photographers will there be?
All my packages include me as the main photographer. If you want to add second then you can do so for £250. I usually go to the bride in the morning for her preparation and the second photographer will spend the morning with the boys or meet them at the ceremony venue, it's entirely up to you. Having two of us means we get lots of different angles from the day and we can be in two places at once.
How long do you stay for?
I'll be there until at least the first dance and for some of the dancing after that. If your dance floor is packed I'll stick around, if everyone is tucking into the buffet I'll probably call it a day then.
How would you describe your style?
In literal terms, I'd probably call it cinematic. I'm not the sort of photographer who will record every single minute of your wedding but I will work with you to try and create images that will instantly take you back to a moment of the day. I'm inspired by films, song lyrics, books, nature and moments of romance.
